What's Working (and not so much...) Wednesday: Swim-spiration!

What's Working:
1. My Swim-spiration in my suits! Yes, they are definitely giving me incentive to drag my booty to the pooly 3x's this week. They're all Splish and Athleta;-)(naw, wasn't paid to show em'. I WISH!)

2. Re-inspired from listening to the Anthony Robbins CD's in the car and during my long training rides. It reminds me that my GFTW is not a 'To-Do' List. No siree. All of my GFTW are derived from my Year and ultimately Life Goals that I'm always striving for.

3. My Feet!: I've been walking around barefoot (in the house) for the past month, not using my orthotics at all, and running in my Newtons again up to 52 minutes this past week. And it just feels so stinkin' GOOD! (Thank you again MissZippy for kick startin' this path for me with your post a few weeks back!)

Not So Much...:
1. I lost a Brady Bunch Member here on the blog. Yeah, we all know it happens, but that still doesn't mean I gotta like it;(.

2. The Weather here in Nor California! It is rain, rain, rain, rain...and rain. My lil' dude has yet to play another baseball game, and my run and triathlon groups are in for a WET ride this week. It just gets a bit hard to motivate in this gloom.

But other than a few minor glitches, the week is going pretty grand! Now, how about YOU? Would love to know, what's working and maybe not so much in your neck of the wet (or dry) woods? Talk to me, talk to me!

Comments

- Ok I admit, I am jealous over Splish, you are allowed to create a whole suit, the mens creations are just for the a small stripe on the side of the suit.

- When you lost your Brady Bunch Member, did you spend the next half hour looking at your followers, trying to figure out who it was? I have done that

- I just blogged a 1st Quarter Report Card about my training so far, interesting how I see myself vs what others seen in me. If you want a free subject to post about, try it, its interesting how we grade ourselves.

I finally feel like my training is picking up after a lackluster winter season. Still wishing for warmer weather!

You get rain, we get snow and cold weather. boo. I just got my bike for my tri in two weeks and I can't even get a chance to try it out. I'm going on Friday come hell or highwater (or snow). Even if I have to dress like an eskimo.

You may have lost one, but you gained me last week so technically, you are even. :)

I love the rains we are having in CA. OK, I can't do any trai training because of mud but running, biking and backpack lugging in the rain seems fun this year.

Love those suits...almost enough to think about taking the plunge...but not quite. ; )
working? my diet (kinda, maybe??)
today's awesome cycling class with optional brick intervals
Spring break in FL next week!
Not so much:
my ornery hammy
raw, rainy/snow nasty weather. Does anyone have nice weather right now?

Those bathing suits are so fun!

What's working: Eating 2 hard-boiled eggs for breakfast each day as advised by Matt Fitzegerald in Racing Weight... really helps to keep me feeling full, and I'm not snacking non-stop between breakfast and lunch.

Not working: Being impatient with getting over being sick. I know my body needs rest... but it's hard to just sit back sometimes!
Those suits are too stinkin' cute!

And remember, just because you lost a Brady Bunch Member, it has nothing to do with you. They were probably just over the whole blogging universe and deleted their bloggy. No worries :)

I love new splish suits! They definitely help the swim motivation. I just got the blue I will swim every day and a new Koi suit (and a couple more)

Love the swim suits! Make me wanna go swimming!

What's working?
I did some strength training this a.m. and ran/walked a 5K on the treadmill. The knee is acting funky.

What's not?
Haha. Worried sick about my half marathon in 18 days.

LOVE the suits! LOVE them! And you know I understand about the follower thing. I'll tell you, I cannot for the life of me understand why someone would de-follow YOU 'cuz you are just all-around amazing.

working: awesome connections I've made through blogging ;-) and PT and massage and my new supplements.

not so much: that same weather you called out :(
we have sunshine for once! Yay! You must have received our rain! boo for you but we so needed the dry spell. What's working for me? Hmmm, well, I'm about to stick to my goal to be more creative and we will be painting some pine cones but Oh, how I just want to turn on the stinkin' t.v after a morning at the zoo! "let's get painting" says my little 4 year old monkey! So paint we will. Love the swim suits! OH, and off with these shoes!

I hear you on the rain - hoping to get out for a ride on Sunday.... I know our rain isn't that bad compared to harsh snowy winters, but still... I wish I could have the attitude my kids do and just enjoy getting out there splashing instead of thinking about how yucky, messy and cold I might get in the rain.
Those suits are so cute.

I really don't know what's up with the weather. I mean, it's not supposed to rain in California. Let alone SNOW in MARCH.

Loving the swimspiration!! Lost follower is obviously a "lost" soul altogether. Don't let it getcha down. I lose many a week. I like to think that their computers are hijacked and they have no control. Thanks for the remonder about Tony Robbins...
Love your suits and you have the bod to rock it! My hubs is in NorCal now as the team is gearing up to play Cal--rain, rain go away! I remember the rainy season from my days at Stanford.

Glad you barefeet are savoring their freedom!!
