The Course of Fatherhood

Ah...a flashback in time... before it all began: The day before the birth of our lil' A & N.  Back then we didn't know how parenthood would unfold and present itself to us. Would we know what to do? Were we capable of raising two healthy lil' ones? We thought so, but the unchartered territory was a mystery for us. One thing we did know for sure though, was our commitment to the journey- however that looked. We both believed in these lil' ones 100% and were committed to each other to be the best parents possible.

And now five years later, with a lil' a little experience chalked under our race belt (I know..it's only 5 years, but compared to the beginning, it's a lifetime)- I look at all these pictures with a warm smile, and a greater sense of wisdom and experience. And I could have picked from a slew of different photos to portray his love, but really any photo can show a slice of a person's heart:

And the last photo is from exactly a week ago today at Dipsea. This is A & D's favorite snuggle set up. I have a million shots of them in this exact same stance. It's where they both go naturally when together. It's very instinctive and they don't even think about it. Sort of like how Fatherhood is now.

You are an amazing Dad and are running the course perfectly.

Happy Father's Day!

This is so heart-felt and lovely! I especially love that first pic... you are both looking like "okay... here we go..." and his hand on your belly... just really got me where it counts :)
