O.N.E Coconut Water Review/Giveaway!

Hi All! I'm pretty excited about this O.N.E. Coconut Water review and giveaway. I've heard the buzz of coconut water around the triathlon arena and blogosphere for a lil' over a year now, but never got around to dabbling with it myself until ~2 months ago. But I'll be honest, the first time I tried coconut water it was from a different company, and the stuff was h.a.r.d. for me to swallow. I couldn't really drink it with out sorta wincing, and was bummed to not be on the 'Coconut Water is the Bomb' bandwagon.

Well, all that changed ~1 month ago when a friend gave me an extra O.N.E of hers. I sucked it down easily and I got it. I could definitely drink this (I don't know why...maybe the coconuts are better in Brazil?), it tasted really good, and I felt the benefits almost immediately. yes. really. For lack of a better phrase, I immediately felt hydrated and balanced. Almost like I was given a 'Get Outta Jail Free' card or something. wow.

But now let me get outta the way and let these lil' photo tabs do the O.N.E. talkin':
This is a cool one. ONE has 670 mg of Potassium (electrolytes) vs 39 from a Sports Drink. This stat doesn't show ONE has only 60 calories, where most Sports Drinks have ~150-300:

Now, this next one:

And I can also personally attest to the latter, as I was feeling the affects of a friend's 40th Birthday Bash, so next morning had a ONE Coconut Water, and virtually felt like a new woman. really? Again, another Get Outta Jail Free Card. Couldn't believe it...(and why didn't I know about this in my college days!)

But do you still need just a lil' more convincing? How about this:

Yes, you read it here. Coconut water was used when plasma was unavailable for blood transfusions during the Vietnam War as it is so compatible with human blood. Now I know our training and racing aren't exactly true battlefield situations, but it can feel a teeny bit like it eh? So Now..you must sign up.

After trying the ONE, feeling it's results, and learning more about all of it's benefits, I was eager so spread the O.N.E Coconut Water love. So I reached out and they have been generous enough to allow me to host a fabulous Giveaway for...

I'm a follower. I think that's definitely the best brand of coconut water out there right now. The pineapple flavor is awesome.

Teaspoon of chia seeds in a small glass of coconut water with a squeeze of lemon juice!
It had never occurred to me to use coconut water in salad dressing until I went to their website. Clever!
I posted a link to this giveaway in my giveaway sidebar thing on my blog.

And I'm totally following you, but I think you knew that already. :-)
Wow. I was just on the website and found out they have it at the 7-11 down the street from work. Heck with waiting for the giveaway. I'm trying this stuff TODAY!

I'd try the ProHydrator smoothie with O.N.E. coconut water and protein powder. Sounds better than mixed with regular water!

I learned that O.N.E. has an "active" version of Coconut Water with some other nutrients and stuff in it, a la sports drink. I've only ever seen/had regular coconut water.

Also I love O.N.E. and it's too expensive for me to afford regularly... if there's ever a giveaway I've really, REALLY wanted to win, it's this one!! Crossing my fingers...

What I learned from visiting the O.N.E. website: Research shows that our daily fluid intake behavior (spontaneous drinking) is established during the toddler years.

I started buying O.N.E products for me and one day my 3yr old wanted a taste. His favorite? Coconut Water w/a splash of pineapple. I feel good giving these to him and my two older children. I feel even better when we're at the market and all three kids go right past the sugary drinks and ask me to buy O.N.E. products. :)

I did not know it was as hydrating as it is.... good to know because I like it!

O.N.E. is so good. I wish I could drink it more often after my workouts (I only can buy it when it goes on sale!) From the website, I learned there's 4mg of iron in every 8oz serving of this amazing drink!

Aaaannnnd I have loved coconut water for... hmmm... I guess at least a few years now, doing the math figuring out when I first started running and soon after, started drinking it. I have never tried other flavors though, so from their website I learned about those- and they ALL sound great!

I love o.n.e coconut water! I'm happy to learn that it is great for diarrhea and dehydration in kids. Wish I had known that when my kiddos were little. Great alternative to pedialyte.

Do you remember the brand that you didn't like? I'm getting ready to order a case from our co-op and not sure if I'll like it.

I read on the site that 11 oz of coconut water is like drinking a liter of water - as a nursing mom and a runner, I'm always struggling to be completely hydrated. This might help!

Brady bunch member, wish I looked more like Marsha. I would love to try this stuff!!

Follow you in my reading list. I LOVE O.N.E. coconut water. I first tried cracking my own green coconuts. Fun but time consuming, lol. Then I tried O.N.E. and I have been hooked. After every workout, whey protein followed by my coconut water. Convenient and refreshing. Also good for road trips. Happy training!
