Three Things Thursday: Short and Sweet...

I'm keeping this short and sweet because, well, because it's just been one of those wacky sorta weeks and my brain and body are a bit fried at the moment...

1. My last two posts have been about my complete emotional meltdown I had over the apparent loss and then retrieval of my lil' blog URL. I'm happy to say I have it back, and am now just workin' out the kinks. I think. Thank you again for putting up w/moi;)

2. And with that, I have to tell you all again how much the experience reinforced my true love and support I get from the bloggy world. When I initially thought I lost my URL those past few days, I was just really sad. I felt like I truly lost a part of me. And then to get it back, I feel like I got a 'Get Out of Jail' card. sounds sappy dramatic, but that's how I felt.

3. And the crazy thing is, my URL whole melt down and retrieval joy coincided almost exactly with the crazy health news I learned of a family member. The initial news was a big smack in the face. But the follow up info from the doctors gave the prognosis so MUCH hope and recovery. Like the best kind of news you can get if you're gonna get 'good' news about an illness.

So...that's my three things goin on over here. Now...here's the sweet part: Talk to me, talk to me! I think you're gettin' my posts once again. Tell me 3 things goin' on in your life;-) Would LOVE to hear!

Comments

1. I might get to go to a taping of Tosh.0 tonight! I'm very excited.
2. I have a date to play the new Little Big Planet video game this weekend.
3. It's so windy today that our office building is shaking!

You're entitled to your meltdown--you've had this blog for a long time and it's an extension of you!

Wishing your family member well. I had a similar experience with my mom two years ago. She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer by the first doc she saw. After all the testing was finally done, she was up to a stage one. She's with us today and doing wonderfully. I hope you get the same kind of good luck!
So glad I didn't lose you. I don't comment much but I love your blog. In fact, for some reason, you pop into my head often. you were one of the first blogs I found and I love how positive and goal driven you are. I was just thinking about how your blog always makes me want to set realistic goals for my day and how important they really are! NOt just the big dreams but the little goals that get you to the big ones. :)

1. I was fully present with my kids for most of the day...I kept control over my wandering mind. yay!

2. I am going to watch trash Bachelor t.v tonight and have not watched t.v for a long time really.

3. I get to do spin class and have Thai food for dinner.

whew! I'm glad everything worked out with your url. I definitely love visiting your blog - even if it's not as often as I'd wish.

Best of luck to your relative who's facing the illness. What a relief it must have been to get some 'good' news.

I love that you had a little meltdown. You seem SO together, but this gives you that extra little human edge :-)

Am really glad the prognosis has improved. No matter how much illness and loss is part of life, it makes it no easier to deal with..

Enjoy the fact that it is Friday! xx

So glad you got your site back. Sounds like someone 'bought' it and was cash parking it hoping you'd want it back. Sucks people do that.

3 things:

1. I had a date today (yes, it lasted from 5:30 AM until 10 PM)
2. We had wine from Sonoma for dinner. And Napa. And Oregon. And New Zealand. And then I said No more wine. I have to go home at some point!
3. We talked about you :-)

You are allowed to have a meltdown about whatever you please!! I've had meltdowns about truly absurd things (broken clothesdrier? YES). Although, with our 90th snowfall in NJ in the past 10 minutes, I wouldn't say no to a real meltdown. Badump. Anyway..
1. I'm going out for pizza tonight! Gosh. I love pizza.
2. My student teaching practicum starts on MONDAY and I am nervous.
3. I have had great bloglove this past week, too. It's been nice.

My 3 things are all about weather:
1. don't snow too much Sat night to screw up my long run on Sunday.
2. please City...salt the sidewalks so I can run on them and not dodge cars.
3. Is Winter over yet?

I get freaking out over the blog URL thing. 100%. It is a part of you. If I couldn't get to my blog or if I thought YOU or my followers couldn't...I would be VERY SAD!!

My heart goes out to you and your family member. I am happy to hear encouraging news. My thoughts are with you and your family.
so glad you got your URL back. xoxoxo
