GFTW 50: Week Fifty Of 2010!? Holy Moly ...

That just tripped me out. Week fifty. Like, now there's only two weeks left after this and it's done. Where'd it all go? I know in my head it's the middle of the month, but Week 50 of the YEAR?  dang. Definite introspection of 2010 will occur, but at a later date. For now, I gotta dial in on the dear hubby's b-day, continued holiday mayhem, and tryin' to keep it all real with bringin' my own basic food, breathing, and balance. Think I can do it? Deep breath, deep breath...;)

Here's what I got lined up for my Goals for the Week:

Mom: Have kids be a part of sending our holiday cards. They can help stuff and stamp.

Home: make a family photo calendar for 2011!

Wife: For my DH's b-day, make a lil' gift for him each day so it's his birthday week. A lil' note one day, drop by his work with an egg nog latte the next. Things like that.

Athlete: Incorporate TRX Upper, Lower and Core exercises in workouts 3 or more times this week.

Grandaughter: Get that birthday/Christmas package in the mail.

Personal Growth: A separate post about this one is comin' (it's in my head), but the gist is this: I'm in the height of my OFF season. So my body physically feels it. And it's a bit hard. It's hard to feel bigger and my clothes feel tight. I know it'll change, but I need to give myself a break and just be with it. So, as silly as this sounds, every morning I want to look in the mirror and verbally say 'Anne Marie, you look awesome. You really do. Embrace this body now cuz it ain't gettin' any younger!'   or something like that;-)

As always, I write these goals down on a bookmark I keep in my organizer and attempt to review them each morning as I chug my coffee and plan my day. That's what I have for me. Now how about all of YOU? Would love, love, to hear what you've got goin' on in your neck of the woods! Talk to me, talk to me!

Also, if you haven't yet entered my COOLMAX® EcoMade Socks Giveaway Extravaganza, ya gotta do so. Over $100 worth of super, uber cool socks! Click on link above to enter;-)

Ack! Week 50! Where has this year gone?!? I love the idea of a family photo calendar! I can definitely empathize with feeling off of your physical peak, but I just try to remind myself that this is part of a natural cycle.

I need to get my big Christmas out and up! I have a smaller one that's already up for weeks now, but I just haven't had the time to do the big one yet.

I need to sit down and plan my training runs for the next half.

As a girlfriend, I need to always have a happy disposition and continue with the massages. :)

You will have a great week!

Happy birthday to the hubby!

I like the personal growth one. I like that you put it out there, and that instead of "addressing it" by cutting back on this, or planning more workouts between parties, etc, you're just like "ok, that's me, and me is still awesome!"

For me:

Work: put in 5 full days, Christmas parties or not!

Have a good week!

what a great and cute idea for your husband's birthday!

My goal is to get in my running this week- the really cold weather is finally here (anywhere below 40 I consider to be pretty cold, in a month though, I'll feel like 30 is warm I'm sure). It's going to be cold or rainy or windy or a mix of all 3 this week and I'm just not looking forward to it at all!

I'm with you..I have no idea where the time has gone! I cannot believe that the new year is only weeks away!

Your personal growth goal hits home with me too. I am feeling the same things, but I am definitely in a better "being o-kay with it" place then I was last year!

I love the idea of doing small gifts for your husband so he can have a b-day week! Love it!
Overall- Enjoy and Be Grateful Each Moment :-)

Teacher 1- Work 'em every moment ... ;-) (They had an off day of Friday!) and then let 'em rest on W and F (missing massive kids due to field trips)

Teacher 2- Mix it up... bring back stuff I know helps 'em and they love. :-)

Teacher 3- Bring tissues to Tuesday's concert... (I'm a sucker when my "kids" sound/do amazing... :-)

Vol- Focus on each moment with the cancer crew tomorrow.

Athlete- Enjoy the rest time, and make the most of the opportunities when they are present.

Food- Plan ahead for all that needs to be packed for the family visits (so I can avoid eating the fried, greasy, super sugary stuff)

Personal Growth- More visualization time... morning and night

PG 2- Simply live gratefully and with love and compassion- for myself and all

Writer- Play, dance, and focus... appreciate the journey and stories that are being told.

Happy Moments to All :-)

Funny, for some reason, reading that we are going into week 50 really makes it clear that this year is almost over! I really like your personal growth goal. Great idea! My goal is to wrap up all Christmas shopping and shipping this week. Have a great week!
I like the "wife" part. Very nice touch!

Many years ago, when somebody brought out a camera and all the girls in the room were saying, "Oh I hate taking pics" my sister-in-law said something very wise: "You'll never be this young and this thin ever again." As it happens, I am thinner now than I was then, but damn I look at pics all the time and wonder how I was ever so YOUNG! Good job reminding yourself of your awesomeness every day! :-)

Let me say it for you, ANN MARIE, you look awesome!

Secondly, my goal for work this week is to relax and enjoy the little kids. The stress is off for now so I can truly do this!
Have a great week!

Ha! I've met you and you are so pretty and incredibly fit! And young.

My goal for the week is survival! lol o, and get a tree, put up some lights, wrap some of those gifts, do a better job keeping on top of the living room clutter... and I MUST clean the toilets!

Hey you!! I think we all struggle this time of year with the bit of tightness in our clothes...

This week for me: organize the clutter that has accumulated in the past few weeks of me being gone on weekends. Eat well and clean, and do not gain any weight over the next two weeks!!!

I was sure we were still in October. I lost a few weeks somewhere.
I also think it is not me getting bigger but clothes shrinking. This is a tough time for keeping one's size.

I make a family photo calendar every year. I love them!

I keep hearing about TRX and still don't know much about it... I'd love to see a post about some of the core exercises you're doing :)

I'm in the same place with my off-season and the tighter clothes thing... just more motivation to jump back into training in January! :)

At the top of my goals for the week are... write & mail Christmas cards... buy Christmas gifts for brother and parents...

I can't believe its week 50! I am way behind on holiday stuff given work has been crazy. I need to get presents bought and Christmas cards out THIS WEEK, yikes!
I made the same realization last week and I'm still kind of tripping out over it.

seriously I am so out of it in some ways...like christmas is coming soon...what?!

I think that I may use your method of goal setting for my next year. thanks for the inspiration
