What's Working..and Not So Much Wednesday!

What's Workin':
1. My pedicure I FINALLY got yesterday! I had a spare hour...so went for it. It felt like such a splurge, but I swear every time I glance down at my feet, I get a  lil' boost and feel like I'm taking care of these lil' guys I ask sooo much from.

2. My current Brooks Running Shoe and Short Giveaway. Yes, this is also a plug, but ya can't blame a gal for milkin' a deal that's pretty sweet. And I'm frankly impressed to see how well y'all know the shoes. Dang! So many ps out there are Brooks Lovers, and I can't believe I haven't owned a pair yet..And if you haven't entered yet, whaddya waitin' for??

3. Early to bed, early to rise. Sunday night it was 10:30 (ouch), Mon it was 10:00 (better), and Tues night...9:30! Sweet! And I've risen early 2 of the 3 days. I can do it, I can do it...

What's Not:

1. I need to figure out a new pair of shoes to wear. I've been ONLY wearing these cushy sandals above or running shoes for the past four months. And well...it's the first day of Fall, and I gotta branch...these shoes can only last so long into the Fall/Winter. So need to figure out a new shoe situation soon. I just don't wanna mess up my feet. Any rec's??

That's what's generally going on for me. Now tell me, what's working and not so much for you this week? Tawk to me, tawk to me!

Comments

I live in clogs all winter (I change them at work) and love them. They are so good to my feet!

I bought a pair of sketchers black running shoes. I've worn them to work and so far no one's said anything.

I love my Born mules. They work great during the winter!

What is working for me this week, is the 45 sit-ups and 45 push-ups done daily.

Good luck with the remainder of your week!
Love the pedi! I live in Uggs as soon as the colder weather hits! They are super warm and comfy!

guess that's the benefit of florida, flip flops year round...and hot training year round

I just took a pic of my feet today---they are NOWHERE near as gorgeous as yours!
I'm kind of bummin that I have to blow dry my hair again after a summer of letting it air dry.

Ohh....those shoes/flipflops/sandals look deliciously comfy! Whew!

That pedi looks fantastic! I wear such a variety of shoes (it's sort of an addiction for me). Fluevog boots are some of my faves (they're expensive, though).

Hi Anne Marie,
Your toes look awesome! I have never gone in for a pedicure...can you believe it!?! That is one of the things that is on my to do list! I hope that you are having a great week!

AM - I totally agree with you on the pedicure and I got mine done Saturday! For me what's working is my CVS ice pack that is like little gel peas (instead of a bag of frozen peas!) What's not working...my clumsy fall yesterday which gave me a knot on my knee. Whoopsie!

Great pedi! I did one myself the other night and it does not look good! :( I've already entered your giveaway and I'm REALLY hoping to win!! :) Oh, stop by tomorrow for another chance to win my Chobani giveaway!

Sandals are still working for me. Who says it has to be fall (especially when you've just had a pedicure!)

Not working for me - getting a cold :(

I love danskos. (clogs) They are spendy, but they last FOREVER! I am trying to ignore the whole 'going to have to wear shoes' thing too!

What's working? hm this week has kinda been a cluster. CLEANING OUT is working. Made a HUGE (4 black garbage bags and a vacuum) donation to B&G club and am still cleaning out. Feeling so much better having less clutter laying around.

What's not working? Getting up at 4:30am to swim way too many yards for my current fitness (lesson learned) and over caffienating!

Plus one to the Dansko recommendations. They have some cute ones these days and they do last forever.

Yea for the pedicure. Always makes you feel better.

My shoe recommendation and favorite shoe come the cooler months are the New Balance Classic 801 series.

That link will show you an example but they have zillions of colors. The shoes are comfy (like running shoes) and look great with jeans and are easy on and off!

Uh, just wear them with socks! Black ones, mid thigh. Very cute.

I live in Born shearling lined slip ons in the fall and winer...(or Merrell's Chill clogs).

What is working? training with my Times instead of my Garmin; no more number obsession.

What is not working? cheddar and tomato sandwiched between two small corn tortillas....yummy, but not good workout food :P

I only wear Clarks year-round. I literally got rid of all my other shoes (except my running shoes of course). Majorly comfortable... and the last few years they have gotten considerably more fashionable.

I love shoes, especially pretty shoes. Especially heels. Bad, right?
This winter, I want to get a pair of riding boots. Basically a pair of simple, flat boots that will look good with dresses, skirts, jeans. I find that if I wear "interesting" clothes, the 3 and 4 year-old kiddos seem to "like" me and are more willing to work with me.
love the pedi! you so deserve it :)

The best shoes ever made are Born. There as comfy as tennis shoes. I promise. They're not cheap. But they last a long time. And are super super comfy. (They sell them at dillards and of course online. Probably other stores too)
Trust me. I'm obsessed with shoes. But only very cute very comfy ones.
