What's Working: I'm Famous People!

Have ya seen the latest Sonoma (California) Index-Tribune- page A9 to be exact? The Tuesday Edition where my name and stats are in BLARING form for the world to read and admire? The pic above shows it all! I'm below the two fifteen year-old foot ball dudes. Well, okay I'm more below that, and to the left by Sports BRIEFS. OH, but it ain't brief baby!.. okay maybe it is...but can ya still see it? My name in all it's glory?

Here, lemme help you out:
I'm to the left of Casino Night, under the 'Litzenberg wins Vintage Run'. There it reads so fluidly and with such succinctness. Ahhh....Ya still can't see it?

Ok, lemme help a bit more:

Now I KNOW you see it! Well, if not, I'm at the bottom of the amazing paragraph. Oh, and they actually list me as Anne vs. Anne Marie AND my time was NOT twenty forty FOUR, but rather twenty forty THREE. (those precious seconds count baby when you're dealin' with a 5k). But other than all that...can ya see what I'm talkin' about people? I'm freakin' famous!!

All right, I know I'm being a bit tongue and cheek. So the reality is this

Yesterday I saw a news stand and immediately wondered if the race was in the paper. So I bought a copy, eagerly flipped through the ~15 pages as my kids sweltered in the heat of the back seat of the car. I finally found the paragraph, and it gave me a Cheshire cat grin. And that's the truth baby.

I'll take a local paper shout out! That DEFINITELY works for me. Now... I just need to figure out how I'm gonna cut, paste, and lacquer this sucker onto a piece of driftwood to hang in our living room? ;-) Now lemme know....what's working for you this week?

I love small town papers! Congrats!! Somehow I don't think I'll ever make the NY Times. Actually, that is a lie, I have made the Times, but it wasn't for running!! Even got my pic in.

wow, way to go girl!! First woman and third overall (and a very near-miss for 2nd OA!) is super impressive! Congrats!!

(oh, and I'm the same with the Anne/Anne-Marie thing. I don't mind if people call me Anne, but when my name is printed, I like it to be Anne-Marie.)

Can't wait to see that lacquered onto a piece of driftwood!! :-) How exciting to be famous!
I'll tell you what is working for me, YOUR POST. I love you and appreciate your self-expression so much. In fact, I was just talking to an intuitive client of mine about your work as a trainer and was wondering where you landed on "working as a coach/trainer". Also, if you would be willing to work "long distance" since my client is in North Carolina. Love you, Heather

Awesome! Our paper lists race results too. Kind of fun when someone says "hey, I congrats, I saw your name in the paper for xxx race."

Awesome! If you cut it out and frame it no one will ever know where it came from anyway ;-)

Working for me - being back in my own bed in the UK

I did a 5k this morning and remembered seeing on here that you recently ran a 20:43 5k and I was thinking how cool it would be if I could run a time like that, even though it would be 3+ minutes off my long-standing 5k PR (I've never considered myself to be a sprinter, but had been doing some good track workouts lately). Anyway, I surprised myself and finished in 20:55 and missed out on first place AG and a $50 J. Crew gift card prize by 10 seconds, argh! When the winning girl/time were announced for my AG, my first thought was, "Oh man, if I had run Sonoma Anne Marie's time, that gift card would me mine!" Also, when I looked at the printed results, they screwed up my name too - they forgot my first "e".

Ok I hope this story doesn't make me sound like too much of a crazy obsessive blog-stalker friend but for some reason I wanted to share and let you know I def thought about you this am!
