What's Working Wednesday

So far, here’s a What's Working For Me this week:

1. My pace watch! Ah, Dios Mio! I can now run outside, and not kill myself on the treadmill doing fartleks!

2.  A SUPER cool giveaway is getting that much closer to reality…and I’m STOKED! I've hinted at what I was shooting for before...Stay tuned…

3.  And before I do it, I want to try out the giveaway process, so I’m thinking of getting 3 different running hats from the TRI CARNEROS group I’m affiliated with. A hat for each season, Winter beanie, Spring Cap, and Summer visor...What do you think?

And now, here’s what’s NOT Working For Me this week:

1. This lingering cold! While I’m definitely better, I’m still sniffling around the house, and I think it’s affecting my workouts and overall energy level. Ugh.

2. Not cutting back on the sugar coffees or dessert.  If I pass on the sugar coffee during day (yeah!), I just treat myself at night with extra, extra dessert (boo!). Hmmm….not really working.

3. Not hitting my pace times for my fartleks, and skipped half a swim. Ugh.

4. Forcing my kids to take pictures with the potential giveaway hat examples. I mean, the top shot of my guy is cute, but the rest of em' looked sorta like this:
or gangsta girl (okay still sorta cute):
So there you have it. That's what's basically working and not over here. What's working or not working for you this week? And what do you think of a giveaway of the the TRI CARNEROS trio of hats? In the spirit of the beanie...Peace out!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the hats...they are awesome! And of course your kids make them even better! They are the perfect models!
In my opinion colds are the worst...they last forever and you never feel sick enough to rest and yet your miserable! Take care of yourself. Your past workouts will take care of you...don't worry about what you are doing this week...In the grand scheme of things you may have needed the break! Have fun and get better soon!

Fun giveaway and your kids are adorable.

What's working for me? Being a new runner the couch to 5k schedule is coming along pretty well. Not perfect but better than expected.

What's not working for me? Oregon rain makes me not want to go outside some days.

Seems like everyone has that cold. Those look like faces of cooperation to me. Good luck getting my wild maniacs to sit still long enough for a picture.

What's working for me: Buttoning the size smaller pants without laying on the bed.

What's not: Being disappointed with my race time. Trying to get over it.
I gave a ton of visors, but not many atheltic beanies. That would be a good one.

Please take time Friday or Saturday to read Weekly Ramblings, I am tossing out a new idea and need some feedback.

Those are the cutest darn kiddos!! I hope you get over your cold soon - it totally is frustrating! And I can relate to the sugar - I had to cut it out totally b/c I couldn't just have a small something. I do this for big races, though, and then go into sugar coma the day after the race! Hope you're feeling better soon!

I'm pretty sure I'd fall off the treadmill if I did a fartlek run on it! Your kids are really sweet by the way

I hope you kick the cold soon. The kids look super cute. The week started off great and then my little one got sick so I haven't been able to sneak out for a run or work out.

The kid pics are cute, regardless of the hats! Don't beat yourself up on the intervals--you're not shooting with your guns loaded just yet. Keep getting extra rest (always easier said than done)
