GFTW 27: It's All About Vineman

Okay, so this picture has nothing to do with Vineman. But I had to sneak in this pic to show off my holiday flag dessert creation. This is UBER crafty for me. So let it stand in the books that I can make cute, crafty, creations!
But that was yesterday. And today is today. A new day of a new week that leads to Vineman in 2 weeks. TWO weeks! And because it's only 2 weeks away, I'm allowing the majority of my goals to be centered around this race. Because this is my 'A' race. My own Boston Marathon. And despite my heel running setbacks, my training ups and downs, I'm here and will be ready to roll.
So to help me get to that starting line to top mental/physical form, here are my Goals for the Week:

Health: In bed by 10pm and up 6-6:30am. (My race start is at 7am on the 18th, and I want to feel used to being up early)

Mom: Take kids on a day adventure to Johnson's Beach (where my swim race start is. I can practice in the open water)

Athlete: Design a Mental Game. I've talked about it before for Lavaman, and I'll show you what I come up with for Vineman.

Home: Just like with Transition set-ups: less is more. Go through each room in the house and take out at least 3 things that are making the room cluttered or not working.

Personal Growth: Think from the end. See myself around the people/events I want in my life. Act as if it's already here. (from Wayne Dyer's 12 Steps to Being with Source). Meditate on this for a min each morning and through out the day.

Oh and also for this week, Nutrition Gal will hopefully have answers to your questions on Friday. Also, I decided to postpone my giveaway until after Vineman. I figured since Athleta is already having their own cool giveaway, I'd wait til' it's over. Then, this will give me something to look forward to AFTER the big race;-)

Now as always, I write these goals down on a bookmark I keep in my organizer and attempt to review it each morning as I'm chuggin' the coffee. This is what's in the books for me this week. Now, I'd LOVE to know what are your goals for the week? Talk to me, talk to me!

Love your goals!! They motivate me to do the same. I have found that I stay on task if I write them down at the beginning of the week instead of trying to remember them day to day.
Thanks for posting yours and that cake is beautiful!
You have some hot guns mama!!

Your cake looks good! Love fresh fruits on cakes.
My goal for the week? Run outside in the mornings to get ready for my 5K in 2 weeks. I need to get used to running in the heat. Going to clean out my bedroom and closet - it has too much and they need to go somewhere.
Good luck with your training!

I just read the mental game post, and I really like it. I've never thought about actually writing out how I want to feel, but I bet it would be extraordinarily helpful. I'm going to do it for my next race, and see how it works.
mmmmm...that cake looks awesome! Go ROCK Vineman, girl!!!

That cake looks terrific! My big goals for the week are to get back to swimming, and to finish organizing my apartment. Because I moved in almost a year ago and I really can't justify the chaos anymore :)

Love that you hope to take the kids to the swim for Vineman... just so you can get some open water swimming in. Mentally and physically you are ready for it.
