Some Saturday Sidenotes Worth Sharing!
I'm on a blogging frenzy! Maybe it's from all the juice that happens when you gear up for a race. Anyhoots, it's another Saturday nite, and I've got my GFTW to think about for tomorrow, but tonite I wanted to share a few sidenotes:
1. CSN reached out and asked if I could do a product review or giveaway with them in the near future. Heck ya! They've got a serious range of, well...everything. From cookware and wineglasses, to cute twin beds, fitness dvd's, and yoga/pilates mats, bricks, and more. I'd never heard of them until I read Anne's giveaway post, and I'm glad I did. I'm excited. I wanna do the giveaway, and I hope to have it here next week.
2. This morning we went out to support Ironman Dude at the San Francisco Triathlon at Treasure Island. I did this race last year, and he did Vineman. Now this year the tables are turned. Which is a fun change. Here he is giving (his usual) hugs on the beginning of the run:
But that's not the real reason I'm bringing up the tri. The real reason is because there was a slew of Biggest Loser former contestants doing the race too. I mean like 20 of em'! So of course I just had to take at least ONE picture, so I got the host (Allison) and the former winner (forget his name!) for one mug shot. They were so cool about it. And when I cheered for all the BL's (that was marked on their legs instead of their age) they would wave, say 'thank u!' and were really cool about it:
3.I just read my post about my Treasure Island Tri race, and it's pretty neat to look back from one year ago and see the progress. I forgot that it was only my 2nd OD distance tri ever, and back then I was proud of my swim because 'I didn't stop'. I love that I have that blog post as a reference.
So, like the old Virginia Slim cigarette commercial (which as a young girl, I never understood how it was 'the' sponsor for major women's athletic events!): 'You've come a long way baby!'. I'm off to have a smoke...HA!

I hope that the Tri went well for your hubby! I love how great he is with your kids....it is very touching to see when Daddies hug their little ones:)
How cool to see some of the biggest loser peeps...awesome that they are doing Tris!
I will be looking forward to your giveaway:)
Love the Ironman & kids pic--so precious!
beginner workouts
Fun to see the biggest loser peeps, I'm sure!
I was contacted by CSN too. I'm curious to see what my giveaway will look like. I think you should go for the twin bed.
Thanks for the sweet shoutout...looks like CSN has found the cool grapevine :)
It's really fun that you saw all those biggest loser people...even cooler that they are doing Tris...I have a feeling we'll be seeing excerpts of this in the next season. I have a feeling the reason we forget some of their names is that they've changed so much...but, I think Beth is right and that is Eric (I think).
Can you explain what an OD distance tri is?
